Civil War Burials in the Government Cemetery, Hilton Head

The Government Cemetery on Hilton Head Island was located in what is the Port Royal Plantation today and on both sides of Union Cemetery Road. Below is a listing of military personnel who died on Hilton Head, were buried in the Government Cemetery on Union Cemetery Road, and subsequently moved to Beaufort National Cemetery or their home cemetery after the war.
