This is a Semiquincentennial presentation. While Boston had the first Tea Party the revelry surrounding tea extended down the Eastern Seaboard as far South as Charles Town. The Pantheon of Revolutionary heroes the Sons of Liberty rate highly but these were not necessarily always gentlemen but practitioners of arson, hanging in effigy, and tarring and feathering (a particularly gruesome action). Learn about how it was not just as simple as dumping tea.
